"Mindpack Studios has operated out of Crown Point Indiana since October 1999. The operations have included everything from onsite maintenance to data management solutions with a firm focus now on software and web-embedded solutions. In 1999 Mindpack Studios Inc started as a home-based data solution company with a focus on Website Hosting and Development, providing solutions for small businesses. With a knowledge in Cisco, Sun Microsystems, Unix OS Administration and Networking, Mindpack Studios set out to define hosting standards at an enterprise grade by allotting guaranteed hosted resources to each customer, something rarely seen even today.

From the first day of business, Mindpack Studios has attempted to make customers for life by providing quality solutions that the customers need, not solutions we convince them they want. Mindpack Studios has actively attempted to direct customers to the most cost-effective solution possible and develop a custom solution only as a last resort. More important than a paycheck, Mindpack Studios has always believed that customer trust and retention is a greater goal, and has strived to earn a constructive relationship with each of its clients.

During the process of providing web-enabled software for customers, Mindpack Studios Inc focused its attention on a number of other directions to gain a well-rounded approach to design and implementation. These Include: standalone application development, data solution consultation, database performance tuning, email management services, on-site server configurations, WAN / LAN planning, software training and research.

Aside from computer hardware and software diversification, Mindpack Studios also scaled its software development lineup to assist with growing needs. From the start, Mindpack Studios offered web-embedded solutions built with the C programming language and as time passed, newer, more "programming-efficient" solutions were needed. The adoption of PHP, MySQL, Postgresql and Java has taken place here, inside the Mindpack Studios development center, to allow solutions for just about any enterprise-grade web-embedded need.

We utilize hardware from SuperMicro, Tyan, 3ware/LSI, Western Digital, Cisco, Adtran and Apple. Redundancy and reliability are heavily taken into consideration with every hardware purchase. Uptime being the highest of considerations, we have duplicate Internet links over a multi-link PPP session. If a single link fails, the second stays operational.

14 Virtual Servers spread across 5 physical hardware devices provide a highly resilient fault tolerant hosting environment. Each piece of hardware here at Mindpack Studios has a duplicate version ready to take over in hot-spare fashion. Our work performed on our workstations is backed up hourly, and stored off-site weekly.

Our data servers are backed up locally first, every few hours, with an offsite data backup of every configuration and website files backed up nightly. Larger files such as database snapshots and e-mail mailboxes are backed up locally on a daily run, with offsite backups happening bimonthly or monthly depending on file size. All offsite backups are transferred using a secure tunnel, all data is encrypted to the remote backup server and the backup server itself stores the data on encrypted drives. Eliminating the possibility of eves dropping or remote tampering.
